Unapologetically vicious and volatile, there isn't another rap group like Triple One.
Hailing from the Inner-West of Sydney, Triple One have accumulated a cult following with signature singles 'Doozy' and 'Overflow' surpassing 1 million views on YouTube. Comprised of rappers Marty Large and Obi Ill Terrors, vocalist Lil Dijon and producer Billy Gunns, the group are shattering all preconceptions about Australian hip-hop and have a global takeover in their sights, accumulating over 260,000 monthly Spotify listeners as a fully independent act. Blending brash raps with haunting, melodic hooks and greyscale production, their gloomy aesthetic hit its stride with 2016's widely-acclaimed The Libertine EP, featuring lead single 'Colours.'
Since then, the group have been releasing with grizzly, DIY videos like 'Madonna' and 'Heaven's Gate' which have caused huge stirs online, with all Triple One videos also self-shot, self-directed and self-edited by the group. Recent single 'Valentine Kid' was an unexpected hit on radio airwaves, added to spot rotation on Australia's leading youth broadcaster Triple J, as well as earning support from FBi Radio.
Now, Triple One are preparing for the next chapter of their career, with The Naughty Corner EP set for release in March 2018. It's their boldest, darkest and most diverse collection of songs yet, where the group draw upon sadistic trap music, pensive electronica and melodic moments with rapid confidence. The group's demonic spirit comes to life in fiery form onstage, with Triple One shows at The Lansdowne Hotel and The Lady Hampshire resulting in mosh pits and widespread mayhem, and earning the group an unparalleled live reputation.
2018 is proving to be Triple One's biggest year yet, and with the group barely two years into their young career, the possibilities are literally endless.
