From Copenhagen to the heart of global club land, MORTEN has continued to up the ante with his musical movements. With A-list supporters across the globe, a renowned presence on the international club scene and a who's who of label release behind him, 2016 already spells a marker year for the Danish dance heavyweight.
2015 ushered one of MORTEN's most prolific years to date. High octane club singles 'Ukali' for Dim Mak and 'Himalaya' for Armada both hit top 20 stature on Beatport's main chart, whilst his remix of Adele's smash hit 'Hello' garnered viral status, rotation on BPM and critical chart support from both Billboard and EDM.com. The year was capped courtesy of a spotlight feature from the Huffington Post and 'Stick Up,' MORTEN's Monster cat debut alongside Juliette Lewis, which garnered more than 500k in its opening weeks and showed a new edge to his studio output.
The outset of 2016 saw MORTEN make with 'Beautiful Heartbeat,' his returning single for PRMD Music/ICONS accompanied by remixes from Avicii, Deorro, RAC and Nine Lives. With tastemaker support Tiesto, Hardwell, David Guetta, Disco Donnie, Ash Pournouri, Carnage, Ruby Rose, the RAC mix peaking at #4 on the Hype Machine remixes chart and first week radio adds from BPM, iHeart Evolution, Music Choice, KYLI and WPTY for the original mix, the original video now lands to add next level visuals to an already striking return for MORTEN. The original was made an A-list priority by Spotify and Beatport with immediate rotation on BPM, the official video was then subsequently premiered by MTV Clubland and put into immediate rotation on MTVU. With live landmarks pegged across the year, studio work alongside some of the most prominent producers in the industry, plus the ongoing ascent of 'Beautiful Heartbeat,' all signs point to MORTEN remaining a force to be reckoned with on the global dance circuit.
